Match Report Press Report

Chichester Vets 2 Beat Nuffield Health Vets 3 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 2 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 61 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Nigel Warr winning through.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 75 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Bev Brockway.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Bev Brockway, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Bev Brockway, who over-turned a 141 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.

If the Away No. 1 player, Steve Ralphs, had not had to withdraw after 3 game(s) the result could have been closer.
