Match Report Press Report

Wykeham 4 Beat Totton 4.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 1 string should have been the closest, with only 12 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Andrew Durnford winning through.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 57 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Dan Shrimpton.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Robert Motson, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Robert Motson, who over-turned a 170 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
