Match Report Press Report

Winchester 7 Lost to Totton 7 in a close match.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 0 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Gareth Brown, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 57 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Mark Mortimer.

Player of the tie was the Home No. 3 string, Mike Pluckrose, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, William Duckett, who over-turned a 492 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
